Maine field hockey shuts out Vermont

The #17 University of Maine field hockey team earned their 10th win Sunday afternoon, shutting out the Vermont Catamounts 4-0 in America East conference action at Moulton Winder Field in Burlington, Vermont.

Hana Davis scored a first half goal for the 10-2 Black Bears, while Brianna Ricker, Samantha Wagg, and Riley Field added second half markers as Maine also improved to 2-1 in conference play. Nina Keur, Casey Crowley, and Field also added an assist each. Mia Borley made four saves for the shutout in the Black Bear net. Maine out attempted the hosts from Vermont in shots 16-5, with a 10-4 advantage with shots on the net. The Catamounts drop to 5-7, 2-1 in America East.

Maine returns home Tuesday for their final non-conference match of the season, hosting Dartmouth at 1 pm.
