Jamal Murray scored 19 of his career high 48 points in the fourth quarter Monday night, as the Denver Nuggets rallied past the Boston Celtics 115-107 at the Pepsi Center in Denver.
Boston (6-4), now losers of two straight after a four game winning streak began the game off well taking a 34-19 lead after one quarter. Denver (9-1) erased that however outscoring the Celtics 35-22 in the second and 34-25 in the third.
The Nuggets, one of the biggest surprises of the early season in the NBA, put three of their starters in double figures. Murray added six rebounds and four assists to his point total, while Gary Harris added 13 points and Paul Milsap added 10. Kyrie Irving lead the Celtics with 31 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown had 15 points a piece, while Al Horford added 12.
Boston visits Phoenix to battle the Suns on Thursday at 9 pm.
