Legendary coach walks away from Husson sports program

On Tuesday, former Bangor High School and most recently Husson University football coach Gabby Price announced that he will be stepping down from his position with the program effective Tuesday morning.

The winningest coach in Husson football, and also based on win percentage the winningest coach in the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference compiled a .615 winning percentage in 12 seasons (72-45). He led the Eagles to four NCAA Tournament appearances in 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2018 and also two ECAC Bowl game berths in 2008 and 2015.

The five time ECFC champions will begin play in a new league in 2019, moving to the Commonwealth Coast Football league. The Eagles begin the 2019 season on the road at UMass-Dartmouth on September 14. No word yet on any possible replacements for Price.
