Husson announces new head football coach

February 4, 2019

Almost two weeks after Gabby Price announced his resignation as head football coach at Husson, the University announced Monday they have hired Nat Clark as the new head football coach for the Eagles.

Clark has served as the assistant coach at Husson since 2013. He also has served as special teams coordinator and offensive line coach over the past six seasons. He also had a previous stint on the coaching staff from 2003-2008. Clark enters his 13th season overall on the Husson staff, and has helped the Eagles to a 72-45 mark during that time alongside Price. That record made Price the winningest coach in Husson history and in Eastern Collegiate Football Conference history as well. Husson has won five ECFC titles in that time and also made four NCAA Tournament appearances. After the completion of the 2016 season, Clark was named ECFC Assistant Coach of the Year.

Clark first met Price when Price was a coach at Bangor High School, playing for the legendary coach for three seasons starting in 1992. Clark went on to play offensive line at the University of Maine under Jack Cosgrove from 1996-2000. Clark will help lead the Eagles out of the ECFC and into the new Commonwealth Coast Football Conference this season, where Husson will face several new opponents. Clarks head coaching debut will happen on September 14 when Husson travels to play UMass-Dartmouth.
