BANGOR– Southern Aroostook scored 29 points in the first quarter and rolled to an 83-29 win over Washburn in a Maine Principals’ Association class D girls basketball quarterfinal game played Monday night at the Cross Insurance Center.
Sydney Brewer led the powerful attack with 20 points and nine rebounds. Makaelyn Porter had 15 points, five assists, and three steals. Kylie Vining and Kassidy Mathers also finished in double figures with 13 and 10 points respectively. Mathers also recorded four rebounds, four steals, and three assists. Southern Aroostook (17-2) will take on Schenck in a semifinal game on Thursday night at 8:35 PM.
Trinity Saucier-Pellicer led the Beavers with 12 points. Kassandra Farley had 10 points and three assists. Washburn finishes the season with a 9-11 record. Photos
