Penquis high school 2019 softball preview.

Info provided by coach Erin Weston

Last years Record: 2-12

Strengths: Returning everyone from last year

Biggest Challenges: Weston said, “I think working to improve their confidence in themselves as softball players is a work in progress. They have a lot of potential.”

Key Players: Camryn Rolfe- senior- leader on the team; catcher, but played some outfield and short stop last year as she is a great fielder. Sydney Fowles- junior- looking for her to step up this year at the plate and have some big hits. Megan Valvo- pitcher- will need her to be consistent pitching and would like her to be able to play some infield this year. She is one of the best fielders on the team.

Weston said, “one goal we have is to improve from last season and our biggest goal is to get into a playoff spot in June.”

The Patriots open the season with home games against Schenck on April 24th and Dexter on April 26.
