DEXTER– The Dexter Tigers boys basketball team outscored Madison 22-8 in the second quarter and cruised to a 57-32 win in the Maine Highlands Federal Credit Union tip-off tournament on Saturday afternoon.
Nathan Richards scored nine points in the second quarter to help the Tigers build a 32-13 halftime lead. Richards and Brett Kusnierz each had 11 points in the first half.
The Tigers outscored Madison 25-19 in the second half. Brett Kusnierz scored a game high 16 points for Dexter. Richards recorded 15 points, seven steals, and two assist. Will Kusnierz added 11 points and five rebounds. Robbie Dorman and Parker Ponte had four points each. Jacob Campbell made a three pointer, while Seth Robbins and Avery Gagnon contributed two points each.
Cameron Cobb scored a team high 12 points for the Bulldogs. Cobb also had seven rebounds and three steals. Thomas Dean added 10 points and six rebounds.
Earlier in the day, Dexter beat Mount View and Madison fell to the Mustangs.
