Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. This week, we had 11 Rowell’s Garage male athlete of the week nominations. Bryce Lausier averaged 35.5 points leading Hampden Academy to a pair of victories in the past week. Lausier joins Zach Gilpin- (2-9-14), Brandon McIntyre (3-2-15), Tommy Farrar (9-13-15), and Helen Shearer (6-3-19) as student/athletes from Hampden Academy that have earned athlete of the week honors.

- Bryce Lausier- Hampden- Basketball- had 29 points in 76-37 win over Nokomis. Set a Hampden Academy record with 41 points in 68-56 win over Brewer.

- Simon Allen- Central- Basketball- had 23 points in 62-50 win over Sumner. Had 27 points in 76-53 win over Mattanawcook
