Brown leads the way, Celtics rout Cavaliers

Jaylen Brown led four players in double figures on Sunday night, scoring 33 points in just 19 minutes as the Boston Celtics broke a three game losing streak by routing the Cleveland Cavaliers 141-103 at TD Garden in Boston.

Cleveland (8-8), who just came off two wins over the Brooklyn Nets, were never in this one. Boston (9-6) led by 22 at the half, and opened as much as a 41 point lead. Brown would score 20 of his 33 in the third quarter. He set an NBA record for the most points scored when playing less than 20 minutes. Kemba Walker added 21 points and five rebounds, Daniel Theis 17 and five boards, and Marcus Smart had 12 points and nine assists. The Celtics shot 56% from the field and 50% (14-28) from the three-point arc. Boston is expected to get Jayson Tatum back on Monday night when they visit the Chicago Bulls at 9 p.m. Tatum has missed the last five games due to the player safety protocol (COVID-19).
