Celtics hold on to defeat the Pacers

Kemba Walker had 32 points Friday night, as the Boston Celtics overcame a bad start and got past the Indiana Pacers 118-112 at TD Garden in Boston.

Indiana (15-16) started the game on a 12-0 run and was up 18-4, before Boston rallied to take a 32-31 lead after one quarter and 61-60 at the half. The Celtics would lead by as many as 10 in the third quarter, and 110-101 with 3:47 to play before the Pacers cut it to three twice in the final 1:23. Walker hit a pair of free throws and Robert Williams III hit one as well to ice the win.

Walker added six assists to his game high point total. Daniel Theis had 17 points and four rebounds. Jaylen Brown had 15 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Williams III finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Jeff Teague also had 14 points. The Celtics managed a win for just the fourth time in the last 12 games, improving to 16-17 on the season. Domantas Sabonis had 24 points, six rebounds, and nine assists in the loss for Indiana.
