Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. If you want to sponsor the female or male athlete of the week email Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. Use that same email to send your nominations in during the week. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. Here is a full list of the 338 past athlete of the week winners.
This week, we had three Rowell’s Garage male athlete of the week nominations. Colton Trisch pitched a two hitter and contributed with the bat to help Bangor defeat Old Town. Trisch joins Allie Boulier (11-4-12),Grace MacLean (10-28-12), Justin Courtney (5-19-13), Trevor DeLaite (2) (6-20-16), and Tyler Parke (6-18-18) as student/athletes from Bangor high school that have earned athlete of the week honors.
