After missing the 2020 season due to Covid restrictions, MDI is not only eager and ready for 2021, but the Trojans are also ready to jump into their first season of 8-man football.

“We have players eager to play football after missing tackle football in the 2020 season. Our players have worked hard and they are excited about our first 8-man football season,” Arnold said. “Last fall did provide an opportunity for us to practice and refine what we want to do differently as an 8-man football team. I think it gives us a better foundation as we enter our first 8-man season, playing some opponents that gained experience in Maine’s first 8-man season in 2019.”

The Trojans open the season at Washington Academy on September 3rd. The home opener is September 10th against Morse.
