Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. Here is a full list of the 347 past athlete of the week winners.
This week we had seven Rowell’s Garage female athlete of the week nominations. Alexa Coffin put in five goals to lead the Mount View to a field hockey win over Erskine. Coffin edged out Sydney Gallop (Hermon) in the voting. Coffin joins Stephen Davis (9-8-13), Mike Hustus (10-25-15), Elijah Allen (10-21-18), and Sage Pound (9-9-19) as student/athletes from Mount View high school that have earned athlete of the week honors.

Scored all 5 goals in a 5-1 win over Erskine, dominating the game in the offensive end.

- Sydney Gallop- Hermon- soccer -had one assist in 3-1 win over Presque Isle. Had one goal and one assist in 6-2 win over Ellsworth. Had three goals (including 100th in her career) in 6-0 win over Caribou.

- Molly Simcox- Hermon- field hockey- had four goals in 8-0 win over Mattanawcook.
- Emma Burr- MCI- soccer- had three goals in 5-0 win over George Stevens.
- Gracie Moore- MCI- field hockey- had five goals in 13-1 win over Maranacook. Had two goals in 6-2 win over Winslow.
