At Guilford Tuesday, Holly Loring scored 2 goals and added an assist, as the visiting Howlers beat the Pirates 3-0.
Off a scramble from a corner kick, Lila Cummings received the ball at the edge of the 18 yard line and sent a cross to Loring, who put it in the corner past goalkeeper Lauren Robinson. The score remained 1-0 at the half.
Penobscot Valley struck just six and a half minutes into the second half, when Loring found the back of the net again. The Howlers would wrap up the scoring when Loring found Cummings, where she scored near the penalty kick line with less than 4 minutes remaining.
Goalie Emilee Ireland saved two shots, as PVHS improved to 10-1. Robinson stopped 19 of 30 shots for the Piscataquis Community, who dropped to 2-5.
