Jesse Drury ran for 229 yards and three touchdowns, and Austin Seavey passed for three more scores on Friday night as the Foxcroft Academy Ponies stayed unbeaten with a 41-6 win over Poland in Class D High School football action in Dover.
Drury had first quarter touchdown runs of 17 yards and 53 yards, before Seavey tossed touchdown throws to Gideon Topolski of 18 yards and six yards in the second and Foxcroft led 27-0 at the half. Poland got their only scoring of the night early in third quarter on a seven yard run from Isaac Fifield. Seavey struck again hitting one of his favorite targets in Caden Crocker for a 40 yard TD connection late in the third, and Drury finished the scoring with his third score of the night with a six yard run in the fourth as the Ponies improve to 6-0.
Drury ended up as the top offensive performer with his 11 carries and three scores, an average of nearly 21 yards per carry. Gage Beaudry also added eight runs for 93 yards. Seavey was 7-15 passing for 129 yards with three TDs and one interception. Topolski caught three passes for 66 yards and two touchdowns, while Crocker had two for 44 and the lone TD. Jackson Smith, Jadon Richard, and Anthony Smith had five tackles each to lead the defense. Fitfield carried 15 times for 66 yards and the lone score for 1-3 Poland. Lagan O’Driscoll was 4-8 passing for 49 yards. Kayden Pursley had the interception of Seavey for the Knights. Foxcroft is back in action when they face the only other unbeaten in Class D as they visit Winthrop next Friday night, while Poland will host John Bapst.
