PVHS girls improve to 4-0 with a win over PCHS

Senior Rebecca Carson led all scorers with 12 points on Thursday afternoon, leading the Penobscot Valley Howlers (PVHS) to a 51-24 high school girls basketball win over the Piscataquis Community High School Pirates (PCHS) in Howland.

PVHS (4-0) led 19-2 after one quarter and rolled to the victory. Holly Loring added 11 points for the winners, while Ellie Austin had nine. Kaya Loring chipped in eight points and Mia Neal had seven. Elizabeth Kendall led PCHS (2-2) with 10 points in the loss. Next up for both teams, PVHS will host Dexter next Wednesday while PCHS will host Searsport on Monday.
