Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. This week we had six Rowell’s Garage female athlete of the week nominations. Izzy Allen averaged 32 points in leading Central to a pair of wins. It is the fourth athlete of the week honor and second straight for Allen.

January 2nd-January 8th
- Izzy Allen- Central- basketball- recorded 36 points (7 three pointers, 10 steals, six assists, and 5 rebounds in 69-17 win over Searsport. Had 28 points, four assists, and four steals in win over George Stevens
Runner up
- Ellie Austin- PVHS- basketball- the freshman had 20 points, 11 rebounds, and four steals in 73-20 win over Penquis.

- Elizabeth Kendall- PCHS- basketball had 22 points in 52-26 win over Lee.
- Aubrey Gifford- Lee- basketball- had 19 points in 52-26 loss to PCHS.
- Jaycie Christopher-Skowhegan- basketball- had 26 points in 76-23 win over Nokomis.
- Bri Townsend- Nokomis- had 23 points in 50-37 loss to Lawrence.
