Ava Goulette and Kendall Kimball power PCHS to win over Searsport

GUILFORD- Ava Goulette and Kendall Kimball combined for 34 rebounds to power the PCHS girls basketball team to a 40-22 win over Searsport on Tuesday night.

After a first quarter that saw PCHS holding a 6-2 lead, the Pirates scored 14 points in the second quarter behind five different scorers. Goulette scored nine of her game high 15 points in the second half to help the Pirates secure the victory. Goulette also had 19 rebounds and three blocks. She was named Bangor Savings Bank Player of the Game.

Kimball also filled up the stat sheet with eight points, 15 rebounds, six steals, four assists, and two blocks. Abbey Ricker recorded eight points, 10 steals, four rebounds, and three assists. Hope Hunt made a three pointer. Brooke Hunt, Anna Crosby, and Katelynn White added two points each. PCHS (7-4) will host Stearns on Thursday.

Julianna Sprague led the Vikings with 14 points, nine rebounds, and seven blocks. Emily Mello added eight points, eight rebounds, and four steals. Searsport (1-8) will host Sumner on Thursday.
