GUILFORD- The PCHS Pirates exploded for 26 points in the third quarter and rolled to a 61-32 win over Searsport on Tuesday night.
The Pirates jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the early minutes of the game, behind seven quick points from Scott Chadbourne. PCHS held a 19-14 halftime lead.
Brady Gaw (10) and Chadbourne (8) combined for 18 points in the third quarter, as the Pirates outscored Searsport 26-7 to put the game away.
Chadbourne finished with a game high 19 points (2 three pointers), and also recorded 11 rebounds and three assists to lead the Pirates. Chadbourne was named Bangor Savings Bank Player of the Game. Gaw recorded 15 points (2 three pointers, eight rebounds, five steals, and three assists. Ben Higgins and Noah Kain each had eight points, while Dawson Simpson and Ty Cobb had four and three points respectively. Gaige Tracy had two points and five rebounds, while Gabe Soctomah also chipped in with two points. PCHS (5-5) is scheduled to host PVHS on Friday.

Tim Smith led the Vikings with 14 points and nine rebounds. Landon Economy had 12 points (2 three pointers), six rebounds, and two blocks. Gage Ellis added six points and four rebounds. Searsport (2-8) is scheduled to host George Stevens on Wednesday night.
