PVHS girls roll to a win over PCHS

At Howland on Monday night, Penobscot Valley (PVHS) hosted Piscataquis Community High School (PCHS) in a girls-boys basketball doubleheader. The Howlers came away with the sweep, with the girls winning handily 81-15.

PVHS (8-1) had a balanced attack all night. Ellie Austin had a near quadruple double for the Lady Howlers with 19 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, and eight steals. Lila Cummings continued her double double streak with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Jessica Kondrup also chipped in with nine points off the bench.

The PCHS Lady Pirates (2-5) were led by Brookie Hunt with seven points, and Tiana Channon with four points. PCHS will host Valley on Saturday in their next game, while Penobscot Valley with travel to play Schenck on Wednesday.
