Hamilton powers Woodland to girls basketball overtime win over Narraguagus

Kaylin Hamilton put in 34 points, and Karleigh Smith hit a deep three pointer to send the game into overtime as Woodland defeated Narraguagus 73-61 on Friday night at Baileyville.

The Lady Dragons put up 27 points in the final eight minutes, capped off by the three from Smith at the end of regulation to even the score at 59. It was all Woodland in overtime as they outscored Narraguagus 14-2.

Hamilton made 6 three-pointers, pulled down 11 rebounds, had four steals, and two assists. She shot 12-20 from the field including 6-11 from three point range and 4-4 from the free throw line. Karleigh Smith had 24 points, five rebounds, five steals, and four assists. Chloe Farrar had eight points and five rebounds. Brooke Smith had six points and 10 assists. Woodland (7-4) is scheduled to play at George Stevens on Monday.

Autumn Peterson led the Lady Knights with 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Eden Fraser had 15 points and eight rebounds. Trinity Morris added 12 points and five rebounds. Narraguagus (5-5) is scheduled to play at Washington Academy on Wednesday.
