Valley girls basketball starts quick in win over PCHS to improve to 15-0

BINGHAM- The Valley Lady Cavaliers jumped out to a 20-1 lead and never looked back in a 68-30 win over Piscataquis Community High School (PCHS) on Thursday night.

Madeline Hill scored 15 of her game high 24 points in the first half as Valley held a 48-8 halftime edge. They outscored PCHS 28-4 in the second quarter.

Kirsten Bigelow had 17 points (all in the first half), while Liana Hartwell filled up the stat sheet with 14 points, 11 steals, six rebounds, and four assists. Valley (15-0) will next play on February 2nd at Islesboro.

Brookie Hunt had 10 points and six rebounds to lead the Lady Pirates. Hope Hunt and Bella Buehne had five points each. Buehne also had seven rebounds. Ava Goulette added four points and 12 rebounds. PCHS (2-10) will play at Bucksport on Saturday at noon.
