BANGOR- The Calais Blue Devils jumped out to a 25-0 lead and never looked back in a 57-33 win over PCHS in a MPA boys basketball quarterfinal game at played on Tuesday evening at the Cross Insurance Center.
Calais had a 19-0 lead after the first quarter and scored the first six points of the second quarter. Kaden Small had nine points in the first half, while Jeremy Turner had eight to help the Blue Devils jump out to a 33-10 halftime advantage.
Calais outscored PCHS 15-14 in the third quarter, and Kaeson Dana scored all nine of the Blue Devils points in the final quarter as they rolled to the 24 point win. Dana had 17 points and Turner had 14 to lead the Blue Devils. Dana had eight rebounds, while Turner had six. Kaden Small added 13 points and seven rebounds. Calais (16-3) will play Hodgdon in a semifinal game on Thursday at 3:30 PM.
Brady Gaw scored a game high 17 points and had seven rebounds to lead the Pirates. Scott Chadbourne had 11 points and six rebounds. PCHS finishes the season with a 12-8 record.
