BANGOR- Hunter Hartsgrove scored 17 points in the third quarter to rally seventh seeded Katahdin to a 42-34 win over Wisdom in a MPA Class D girls basketball semifinal game played Thursday morning at the Cross Insurance Center.
With Wisdom leading 19-18 early in the third quarter, Hartsgrove sparked a 13-0 run as Katahdin outscored the Lady Pioneers 21-9 in the period.
Hartsgove finished with 22 points, nine rebounds, and six steals. Ayanna Lester had 10 points, eight rebounds, and three steals. Katahdin (14-7) will play Southern Aroostook or Jonesport-Beals in the regional final on Saturday at 1 PM.
Lilly Roy led the Lady Pionnees with 23 points, five rebounds, four steals, and two assists. Ava Lerman had 11 points, six steals, and four rebounds. Wisdom finishes the season with a record of 14-6.
