April 30, 2024

WATERVILLE, Maine Maddie Niles from the Lawrence High School (Fairfield, ME) field hockey team announced today she has signed a name, image and likeness (NIL) partnership with CrossFit 137, a local gym where everyday people can do constantly varied functional movements at high intensity. Niles will be a brand ambassador for the company and train at the facility as she prepares for her senior field hockey season and college field hockey in 2025. She will receive compensation for the use of her name, image and likeness, including making social media posts.

Niles, 17, has NIL representation from Pliable as she pursues her career in field hockey, modeling and her career after sports.

“I am really excited about this NIL partnership with CrossFit137 because it allows me to train during the off-season and support a local business. Scott and Jesse have been really helpful. I know the strength and conditioning work I am doing is going to be really helpful when I play field hockey in college. I am grateful for this opportunity, and I look forward to spreading the word about the benefits of CrossFit training,” said Maddie Niles, field hockey player at Lawrence High School.

As a sophomore, Niles set the Lawrence High School field hockey record for goals (38) in a season in 2022 and was part of the field hockey team’s first ever Class B State Championship. In 2023, as a junior, Niles was a team captain and led the team in scoring. She was named First Team KVAC, and a member of the National Honor Society. She is currently playing for the Coastal Field Hockey Club U19 team.

“Maddie is an incredible athlete and is passionate about being the best field hockey player she can be. By following the CrossFit system we have custom designed for her, we are already seeing some amazing results. We were excited about the opportunity to sign this NIL partnership with Maddie because she is a great role model in the community and has an incredible work ethic. We are proud to be able to partner with Maddie as she pursues her passion to play field hockey in college,” said Scott Bolduc, owner of CrossFit137 in Waterville.

The NIL partnership was brokered by Pliable Marketing, a Maine-based, marketing company that specializes in athlete branding. The company’s list of athlete branding clients includes more than 35 high school, college, and professional athletes from across the country. The company has brokered more than 60 NIL partnerships for high school, college, and professional athletes.

The NIL partnership for Niles with CrossFit 137 comes in addition to her other current partnerships with Hilltop Boilers, Aroma Joe’s Development Office of ME/NH, SEAAV Athletics and Ignite Snacks. As part of the NIL partnership with CrossFit 137, Niles will make a series of social media posts about her training and progress.

“Maddie is a trailblazer and has embraced new name, image and likeness opportunities to create meaningful partnerships with businesses and people who want to support her and her goals. Maddie’s goal to play college field hockey is very clear and she has the determination and drive to make it happen. I am grateful for the opportunity to help Maddie with this NIL partnership so she can take another step closer to achieving her goal,” said Greg Glynn, founder & CEO of Pliable.
