Thomas and UMF split a baseball doubleheader on Friday afternoon.
Can Haynes sparked the Thomas offense in game one, hitting a triple that scored three runs in the first inning as the Terriers won 6-5. Haynes and Tony Meza had two hits each. Jarrad Willette improved to 2-2, allowing only two runs on four hits and four walks, while striking out 10 in 6.1 innings for the Terriers. Game 1 Box Score
Ryan Sargent (Windham) powered the Beavers to a 13-5 game two victory. Sargent had seven RBI, including a grand slam. Nate Coombs (Oceanside) and Sam Parsell had three hits each. Parsell and Ike Wrigley (Mt. Blue) had two RBI each. Will Harriman (Biddeford) started the game on the mound for the Beavers, he allowed two runs in three innings.
