The Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics are now both tied 1-1 in their First Round Eastern Conference best of seven playoff series after a pair of game twos were played on Tuesday night.
At TD Garden in Boston- The Celtics led by as many as 13 in the first quarter, but a three-pointer by VJ Edgecomb (team-high 29 points) with a little less than five minutes left before halftime gave the 76ers the lead for good in a 111-97 win. Philadelphia bounces back after losing game one 123-91, and now heads home for the next two beginning with game three on Friday night at 7. Jaylen Brown had 36 points in the Boston loss.
At the KeyBank Center in Buffalo- The Bruins scored three times in the second period and built a 4-0 third period lead, and then held on to even the series with a 4-2 win. Pavel Zacha had the eventual game winner on the powerplay. Viktor Arvidsson scored two goals, while Casey Mittelstadt, David Pastrnak, and Jonathan Aspirot added two assists each. Jeremy Swayman made 34 saves. Boston will host games three and four at TD Garden on Thursday night and Sunday afternoon.
