Engstrom steps down as Maine women’s hockey coach; lands an assistant job with Detroit in PWHL

Molly Engstrom has stepped down as Maine women’s ice hockey head coach, as she will help lead the new franchise Detroit in the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) as an assistant in their inaugural season in 2026-27. Engstrom put up a record of 54-76-11 in four years with the Black Bears.
