The Central Red Devils scored six runs in the first inning and never looked back in a 14-3 Class C softball semifinal win over Houlton played on Saturday morning at Central High School.
Aili Spack was dominant in the circle, striking out seven in the first three innings. She finished with nine strikeouts in the five inning mercy rule win for the Red Devils. Spack allowed three runs (one earned) on one hit and four walks. Spack also had two RBI.
Gabrielle Dickinson led the offensive charge with three hits and three RBI. Madison Moody had two hits and two runs scored. Bayleigh Irish reached base three time with two hits. Jordyn Curtis scored three runs. Central will play Bucksport in the regional championship game on Tuesday at Brewer.
