Dunkin Comrades nip Trenton in a Senior Legion pitching duel

Jonas Gilley provided a game winning RBI single on Monday night, as the Dunkin Comrades outlasted the Trenton Acadians 1-0 in a very well pitched Senior Legion baseball game played at Mansfield Stadium in Bangor.

Both teams only had two hits. In the bottom of the sixth inning with the bases empty and two outs and the game still scoreless, Gavin Glanville-True would work a walk for the Comrades and then would steal second base. Gilley would bring him home on a line drive single to rightfield to provide the difference on the night. Aiden Oullette had the other hit in the victory. Matt Turcotte fired 4.2 innings allowing no runs on two hits with four walks and 10 strikeouts in a no-decision. Blake Littlefield earned the win in relief with 2.1 hitless innings with one walk and five strikeouts. Trent Goss and Deegan Scott had the hits for the Acadians. Goss also suffered the pitching defeat allowing just the one run on two hits with one walk and 14 strikeouts in a six inning effort.
