Bodie Bishop homers twice to help the Hammond Lumber Riverdogs stay unbeaten with Senior Legion win over the Dunkin Comrades

The Hammond Lumber Riverdogs erased a 3-1 fifth inning deficit, and scored 10 runs over their final two at bats on Wednesday night to defeat the Dunkin Comrades 11-4 in a Senior Legion baseball game played at Hampden Academy.

Bodie Bishop helped the Riverdogs (7-0) stay unbeaten with two homeruns and six RBI. He put his team ahead for good with a two-run shot in the fifth inning, and then launched a grandslam in the sixth to help put it away. Bishop also scored three runs. Andrew Cote had two hits and scored twice, while Andrew McKenney and Noah Kain contributed one hit and one RBI each. The pitching staff struckout a total of 15 batters. McKenney started and allowed two earned runs with 10 strikeouts in 4.2 innings, while Wyatt Allen picked up the win firing 1.1 innings of scoreless relief with four strikeouts. Aiden Oullette had two hits and two RBI for the Dunkin Comrades (4-2).
