Jaquie Pangburn (John Bapst) scored two goals 48 seconds apart in the first half on Wednesday evening, as Husson University women’s soccer battled to a 2-2 tie with the University of Southern Maine in a non-conference match played at Boucher Field in Bangor.
Sierra Jepson and Lexi Morin (Brunswick) scored the Huskies goals in the second half. Natalie Flageolle and Mia Wetzel each recorded one assist. USM is now 3-2-1 and will host Bates on Saturday. Ella Hosford (Bucksport) had an assist for the Eagles, while Gabriella Smith (Biddeford) made seven saves in net. Husson (2-2-1) will play their North Atlantic Conference opener on the road at Lesley University on Saturday night.
