Maine women’s hockey picked up their first victory of the season and the first for new head coach Alex Gettens, 4-3 over St. Lawrence at Alfond Arena Thursday evening.
Stephanie Jacob with the game winning goal at 10:50 of the third period. Mikayla Boarder had two goals, Gracie Hanson notched three assists, while Lily Fetch contributed two assists. Kiia Lahtinen made 22 saves in net. The Black Bears (1-2) and Saints (0-3) finish their two game series on Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. in Orono.
