The University of Maine has fired offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Mikahael Waters on Monday mid-season. The Black Bears through six games this year have averaged 14.5 points per game and are also down near bottom of entire country in third down efficiency (32.9%). Waters had been the OC since March 2024, and has been on the staff since July 2019.
It was also announced that running backs coach Sean Green will take over play calling duties, while offensive analyst Cooper Heisey will now be the running backs coach.
First reported by Jack Webb (Fox 22).
