Miguel Diaz Alvarez notched a hat trick, and five other players recorded one goal each on Saturday afternoon as Husson men’s soccer rolled past Vermont State University Lyndon 8-0 in a North Atlantic Conference match on Senior Day at Boucher Field in Bangor.

Silas Montigny (Ellsworth) had what turned out to be the game winning goal for the Eagles four minutes into the first half. It was the first of the year and third collegiate tally for the senior Montigny. Santiago Jimenez, Wessel Eldering, Tighe Hrabchak, and Lochie Boustead also all scored in the opening 45 minutes. Diaz Alvarez scored all three of his in the final 10 minutes of play. Edwin Cruz, Gaiani Vittorio, Jouke Snelder, Tibo Desorme, and Lucas Alabiso each contributed one assist. Garret Jordan and Liam Mason (Greenville) both played in net. Husson is now 5-5-2 and 4-1 in the NAC and will host a non-conference tilt against #15 Connecticut College on Sunday at 2 p.m.
