Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. Here is a full list of the 288 past athlete of the week winners.
This week, we had two Rowell’s Garage male athlete of the week nominations. Levi Williamson joins Kyle Alexander (12-18-11), Matt Pushard (6-15-15), Logan Rogerson (10-11-15), Trey Wood (9-25-16), Kobe Rogerson (4-23-18, and Libby Hewes (6-18-18) as student/athletes from Brewer high school that have earned athlete of the week honors.
Roadrunner Taxi male athleteof the week
- Levi Williamson- Brewer – baseball – got the win and save by pitching five innings to start the game and coming back in to close the game out in the 7th in 10-9 win over Lawrence.
Runner up
- George Dakin- Searsport – baseball- went 4-4 with five RBI in 13-3 win over Jonesport-Beals.
Other nominations
- David Barre- Waterville- baseball- had two hits and three RBI in 15-2 win over Mt Blue.
