Orono Boys Tennis 2021 preview

Varsity Coach – Matt Murray

Assistants – Zach Arnold & Siera Tibbetts

2019 Record – 14-2 (State Runners-Up)

Strengths- Depth and Athleticism

Challenges – “We don’t really have a dominant singles player.” Murray said

Key Players Noah Kreutz (Junior), Chris Cost-Kirkpatrick (Junior)

Coaches comment – Murray said – “I think everyone is excited, both being able to have a season and being able to compete for a championship. I would expect us to be in the top half of Class C, without really knowing what other teams have. I think, as usual, GSA and MA will be among the favorites. Dexter is our rival, and always one we look forward to.”

Schedule – Mattanawcook, George Stevens, Old Town, Dexter, PVHS, and PCHS twice.

  • Challenges- Not a ton of depth, in terms of sheer tennis talent.
  • Top players – Clarice Bell (Junior), Brynn Kenney (Junior), Celia Buetens (Junior), Josie Veilleux (Junior)
