The Husson University baseball team finished off a five game sweep over the University of Maine-Presque Isle taking the final matchup 6-4 at the Winkin Complex in Bangor on Sunday in North Atlantic Conference action for their 15th straight win.

The Eagles scored four times in the bottom of the second inning that made the difference in the game, after falling behind 2-1. Tyler Parke tied it with an RBI single, Blake Slicer made it 3-2 Husson with an RBI double, and the game winner came on a two run single from Chris Ewanik to make it 5-2. Austin Snow extended the lead to four runs with an RBI single in the third. UMPI (0-10, 0-9 in North Atlantic Conference) would cut the margin to just two in the seventh on a Bailey Corley RBI single and a fielders choice RBI by Nick Perfitt. Jackson Thayer quieted the Owls bats after that, and picked up the save by throwing 1.2 innings of scorless and hitless baseball with three strikeouts for the Eagles.

Ewanik had three hits and three RBI to lead the way in the win, while Brandon Smith added a pair of hits. Logan Sheridan (2-0) would win on the mound in relief as the Eagles used seven different pitchers on the day. Husson (15-4, 15-0 NAC) has now set a new program record for consecutive wins. Joey Lippo and William Stinson had two hits each in the loss for UMPI. Husson starts their last conference series of the regular season on Thursday with the first of five games when they host Thomas College at 4 p.m.
