High School track results: Foxcroft, Central, PCHS, Dexter – 5/4/21

Foxcroft Academy, Central High School, Piscataquis Community High School (PCHS), and Dexter High School participated in a track meet at Foxcroft Academy on Tuesday afternoon.

Central won the girls meet, with Foxcroft runner up, followed by PCHS. Foxcroft won the boys meet followed by Central and Dexter.

Rylee Speed from Central highlighted the girls meet by winning the 100m and 200m. Molly Sipple (PCHS) took second in the 100m with a personal best time of 13.94.

Skyelynn Contreras (Central) won the girls 400m followed by Elyssa Jerome (Dexter). Jerome was the winner of the 100m hurdles. Anna Raynes (Foxcroft) won the 800m ahead of Molly Sipple and Ariana Fanjoy from PCHS.

The team from Central High School of Megan Stewart, Julia Viani, Contreras, and Speed won the girls 4x100m relay. Contreras and Viani also finished as top two in the long jump. The Red Devils duo of Viana and Emily Champney-Brown were top two in the triple jump. Central dominated the girls shot put placing the top five. Kendall Kimball won the Javelin Throw. Champney-Brown and Ariana Brown of Central finished second and third.

Some PCHS highlights include Samantha Goodwin getting a personal best of 15.79 and placed second in the 800m. Goodwin also had a personal best in the 200m with a time of 32.33. Ariana Fanjoy took fourth in the 100m, with a time of 14.75 and 3rd in the 800 with a personal best of 3:02.04. Max Richards had a Personal best in shotput, with 22-03.50 and another personal Best in javelin with a throw of 48-00.

Kendall Kimball took first in girls javelin with a throw of 78-00, a personal best. Ariana Fanjoy, Kendall Kimball, Samantha Goodwin, and Molly Sipple took 3rd in the girls 4×100 relay with a time of 1:00.55.

In the boys meet, Foxcroft placed the top four in the 100m as Jesse Drury won, followed by Kemsley Marsters, Bodie Clark, and Jackson Smith. Fred Beem of Dexter was the winnet or the 200m, finishing just ahead of Hoang Lam (Foxcroft).

Liam Velgouse (Central) won both the 800m and 1600. Michael Gadwah (Dexter) captured the 110m and 300m hurdles. Cam Allen won the 400m.

Foxcroft had the top 3 spots in the high jump with Jackson Smith edging out teammates Jacob Reed and Jack Kingsbury. Central won the 4×100 and 4×800 relays. The 4×100 team was Andrew Lyman, Raolin Willis, Dominic Turmel, and Nick Kelley. The 4×800 team included Kennen Bean, Lyman, Koby Bean, and Velgouse.

Drury (Foxcroft) won the long jump. Kennan Bean (Central) was the triple jump winner, while Marsters (Foxcroft) and Issac Webber (Dexter) were the Shot Put and Javelin Throw winners.
