The University of Maine Women’s Soccer team opened their season at Mahaney Diamond on Tuesday afternoon with a 6-0 exhibition victory over Assumption College.
Kaitlyn Ball had a pair of goals as five different Black Bears found the net on the day.
Anetra Byfield, Vivien Beil, Beate Nagle Stad, and Genaya Loftis also scored for Maine.
Shannon Armitage has two assists while Kendra Ridley, Emilie Anderson and Nichole Bailey also each had one helper. In all, nine players figured into the days scoring for the Bears.
Maine will open the regular season Friday when they travel to LIU-Brooklyn for a 5 p.m. contest.
