Savage leads Skowhegan to first state football title since 1978

Adam Savage accounted for all three of his teams touchdowns and had a key interception late, in leading the Skowhegan Riverhawks to a 20-14 win over the Portland  Bulldogs in the Class B football state championship game played at Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland on Saturday afternoon.

A 40 yard touchdown pass by Savage to Quintcey McCray with eight seconds left in the second quarter turned out to be the game winner.
