The season came to an end for the Gray-New Gloucester Senior Little League Baseball team on Saturday, falling to Little Ferry, New Jersey 14-4 in five innings at the East Regional Tournament at Mansfield Stadium in Bangor.
Isaac Dunn had two hits for Gray-New Gloucester, while Landyn York and Aiden Rinaldi each drove in a run. GNG committed six errors in the contest, helping their opponents to score eight unearned runs. Evan Franklin took the loss on the mound allowing four earned runs in just 2/3 of an inning. Justin Maldanado had two hits, three RBI, and scored two runs for New Jersey. Jermiah Nivar and JD Fucci knocked in two runs each. Ryan Lewis added three hits and scored three times from his leadoff spot. Fucci also picked up the pitching win giving up no runs on one hit in 2.0 innings. Little Ferry, NJ will take on Millsboro, Delaware at 10 a.m. Sunday in another elimination game.
