Alex Tuch scored a game winning goal at the 4:03 mark of the third period on Thursday night, as the Buffalo Sabres defeated the Boston Bruins 3-1 in game three of an NHL Eastern Conference First Round Playoff Series at TD Garden.
Tanner Jeannot had the first goal of the game and the only goal for Boston in the second period. Bowen Bryram had the equalizing marker for Buffalo also in the second, and Noah Ostlund in his first career playoff game put it away with an empty netter late. Jeremy Swayman made 25 saves in the loss for the B’s. The Sabres lead the best of seven series 2-1 with game four in Boston at 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
