Sidney Nicholls dominated in the circle to lead Medomak Valley to a 7-0 Class B softball state championship win over Gardiner on Saturday afternoon.
Nicholls allowed five hits and four walks, while striking out nine in her complete game masterpiece. Freshman Rheanne Simmons went 3-3 with an RBI. Arianna Sproul and Claudia Feeley had two hits each. It is the second straight title for the Panthers and third overall.
Molly Takatsu had two hits for the Tigers.
