Lord helps Riverdogs stay unbeaten with extra inning Senior Legion baseball victory over Roderick-Crosby

Rogan Lord had a game tying RBI double in the seventh inning on Monday night, and then won it with a single in the ninth as the Hammond Lumber Riverdogs stayed unbeaten with a 5-4 Senior Legion baseball victory over the Roderick-Crosby Post 28 Flyers at Hampden Academy.

Lord sent it to extras with a runner on first base and two outs in the seventh and the Riverdogs down 4-3 with a double to centerfield to score Henry Armell. In the bottom of the ninth with two men on and one out, Lord won in walk-off fashion with a single to left to score Kellan Bishop to help improve his teams record to 6-0. Lord had three hits and two RBI to spark the offense. Iven Ingraham added one hit and one RBI. Armell scored two runs. Bodie Bishop started on the mound and got a no-decision allowing four runs (only one earned) with two walks and 11 strikeouts in 4.2 innings. Noah Kain picked up the win in relief with three scoreless innings, as he walked one and struckout four. Elijah Seaberg had three hits and two RBI for the Roderick-Crosby Post 28 Flyers (2-3).
