Andrew McKenney tossed a no-hitter on Tuesday evening in helping to lead the Hammond Lumber Riverdogs past the CM Hurricanes 11-0 in five innings in a Senior Legion Tournament game played at Hampden Academy.
Rogan Lord (three hits) and Andrew Cote (two hits) both had three RBI for the Riverdogs. Lord nailed a two-run homer. Iven Ingraham and Collin Mehrhoff (two hits) each added two RBI. McKenney walked one and struckout eight in his no-hit five inning performance, as Ty Bernier was the only baserunner for the Hurricanes. Hammond Lumber (16-3) will play in the winner’s bracket tonight at 7:30 when they host GSM, while CM (9-11) will take on the Dunkin Comrades in an elimination game in Hampden at 5 p.m.
