The GSM Senior Riders advanced to the state tournament of Senior Legion baseball on Wednesday night with a 17-5 five inning win over the Hammond Lumber Riverdogs at Hampden Academy.
GSM (12-5) had five different batters with multiple RBI in rolling to the win. Noah Corliss led the way with a two-run double and a total of four RBI. Brody Baron knocked in three, while Parker Bjorklund, Tyler Do, and Henry Marcotte all added two RBI a piece. Parker Soule-Parent got the pitching victory allowing two runs on one hit with three walks and seven strikeouts in three innings of work. GSM joins Trenton in the four team, double elimination state tournament that begins on Monday. Iven Ingraham had two RBI for the Riverdogs (16-4), who will host Oxford Hills on Thursday in an elimination game of the state pre-qualifier.
