Mayako Brown (Hampden Academy) had a game winning goal for Maine Maritime Academy women’s soccer on Saturday, as they improved to 3-0 in the North Atlantic Conference with a 2-0 win at Vermont State University Lyndon. Freshman Harlow O’Leary (Thornton Academy) got the second tally for the Mariners, who outshot the Hornets 57-0 (35-0 on net). Isa Thesing played in net, as Maine Maritime improved to 6-3 overall with their fourth straight victory. Aracely Delgado-Juarez and Ella Renaud combined to make an astounding 33 saves in the loss for Lyndon. The Mariners will play a non-conference game at #8 Colby on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
