#8 Colby women’s soccer rolling along, as they blank Maine Maritime Academy in non-conference action

The #8 nationally ranked Colby women’s soccer team continued their great season on Tuesday night, blanking visiting Maine Maritime Academy 5-0 in a non-conference match played in Waterville.

The Mules (8-1-1 overall) had five different goal scorers in the victory. Elo Luczkow had the eventual game winner with a penalty kick goal in the 18th minute. Claire Walsh, Abigail Jarvi, Madison Genser, and Hannah Donahue had the other tallies. Colby outshot Maine Maritime 22-1 (12-1 on goal), as Talia Thompson and Malika Hill combined for the shutout in net. They will be back in action on Saturday as they take their 4-1-1 NESCAC record into a road league match at Wesleyan. Isa Thesing made seven saves in the loss for the Mariners, as they had their four game win streak snapped and fell to 6-4. MMA will play again Wednesday in another non-conference match as they host Bates.
