Emma Tripp had three hits and five RBI, while Gracie Moore also had three hits (all doubles), two runs scored, and one RBI to power Belfast to a 15-4 softball win over Mount View on Thursday afternoon.
The Lions jumped out quick, putting 12 on the scoreboard in the first inning. Sophia Larrabee also had three hits, as the Lions pounded out 17 hits as a team. Tripp pitched a complete game to earn the pitching win. Tripp allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits and four walks, while striking out 10. Belfast (4-0) will host Lawrence on Saturday.
Jazlynn Totman had two hits and one RBI for the Mustangs. Madison Bennett had a double and two RBI. Mount View (0-2) will play at Foxcroft Academy on Saturday.
